"Perpetual adoration at the summit of Paris"

About Sacré-Cœur Basilica

Perched atop the hill of Montmartre, the gleaming white Romano-Byzantine basilica of Sacré-Cœur is one of Paris's most recognisable landmarks. Built as a votive offering following France's defeat in the Franco-Prussian War, it has hosted perpetual adoration since 1885 — uninterrupted for over 130 years.
