Day 1: Depart home country
Overnight or connecting flight to Lisbon. Begin with the accounts of the 1917 Fatima apparitions.
Opening commissioning prayer at the gate.
Day 2: Arrive Lisbon · transfer to Fatima
Arrive in Lisbon and drive north to Fatima (about 1.5 hours). First evening at the Sanctuary as the lights come up over the great esplanade.
Join the evening candlelight rosary procession at the Fatima sanctuary.
Day 3: Fatima
A full day at Fatima: the Chapel of the Apparitions, the basilica with the tombs of the three shepherd children, and the village of Aljustrel where they lived. Walk the Way of the Cross to Valinhos. The sanctuary rewards lingering.
Mass at the Chapel of the Apparitions; pray the rosary on the esplanade.
Day 4: Fatima to Salamanca / Burgos
Cross into Spain, breaking the long drive at a historic city such as Salamanca or Burgos with its great Gothic cathedral. A travel day with a cathedral pause.
Visit and pray in the cathedral en route; evening prayer together.
Day 5: Onward to Lourdes
Continue across northern Spain and over the border into the French Pyrenees to Lourdes, arriving by evening for the famous torchlight procession.
Join the evening Marian torchlight procession at Lourdes.
Day 6: Lourdes
A full day at the Sanctuary of Our Lady of Lourdes: the Grotto of Massabielle where Mary appeared to St Bernadette, the miraculous spring, and the baths. Give time simply to pray at the grotto.
Mass at the Grotto; opportunity to take the Lourdes water and pray for the sick.
Day 7: Lourdes — Bernadette & the basilicas
A second, gentler day: the Upper, Rosary and Underground basilicas, the Stations of the Cross on the hillside, and the sites of Bernadette's life. The slower pace lets the place work on the heart.
Pray the hillside Way of the Cross; participate in the international or anointing Mass.
Day 8: Lourdes to Santiago region
The long transfer west across the Pyrenees and into Galicia toward Santiago de Compostela. Use the road for rosary and reflection.
Pray for pilgrims past and present walking the Camino as you travel its end point.
Day 9: Santiago de Compostela
A full day in Santiago: the great cathedral and the tomb of St James the Apostle, the Pórtico da Gloria, and the embrace of the saint's statue. Witness the swinging Botafumeiro censer if scheduled.
Attend the Pilgrim's Mass at Santiago Cathedral; quiet prayer at the Apostle's tomb.
Day 10: Depart from Santiago
A final morning in the old city before transferring to the airport for the journey home.
Closing Mass and a Marian blessing before departure.
