About Medjugorje Shrine

Since June 24, 1981, six Croatian visionaries have reported daily apparitions of the Virgin Mary in this small Herzegovinian village. Despite the ongoing nature of the claimed apparitions, the Vatican has authorized pilgrimages and officially recognised Medjugorje as a place of prayer. Over 45 million pilgrims have visited since 1981.
